We Need You

Come and Make a Difference - Volunteers Needed for the 2024-2025 PTSA! 

Have you thought about volunteering but worried about the time commitment? This week we are taking a more indepth look at just one area of our volunteer openings to give you a better idea of what the role involves. New Family Liaison Chair - this role is to help make our new families, to Wilton, feel welcome and connected and you will work as and when needed. You will work to build strong relationships and ensure effective communication. This role involves providing support and resources, and gathering feedback to improve our services. If you’re interested in this position or any of the others: President/Co-President, Beautification Chair(s), 2025 Senior Picnic Co-Chair (1), Nominations Chair or Meditation Room Co-Chair then please reach out to Sue Robins.


The Hospitality Committee needs volunteers for next year. It is a low commitment, lots of fun, and provides an opportunity to volunteer at the high school (did we mention you get to chat to the teachers too!). Events include Back to School Breakfast, The Great Thanksgiving Pie Giveaway, Bus Driver Breakfast, Teacher and Staff Appreciation Lunch and End of the Year Luncheon. You do not need to volunteer at every event. If interested, please email Michelle Baronowski 


National PTA Relection Winner


National PTA Reflections Winner A huge congratulations to Illeas Paschalidis on winning an Award of Excellence for Literature and a cash prize. Four of our amazing and talented students made it to the national competition for music composition, film production, literature and photography - having swept the board at the State level of the competition. Congratulations to all of you, your work was outstanding - we can't wait to see what you do next year! 




WHS LLC Pop-Up Bookstore! On June 3, 4, 5, and 6, the WHS Library Learning Commons, in coordination with Main Street Books, will be hosting a "pop-up" bookstore! Students are welcome to browse and shop for summer reading books during the hours of 9am-2:30pm in the LLC. Google Pay, Apple Pay, cards, cash, and check are all accepted. The WHS LLC will earn 20% of sales made. Online shopping will also be available. There will be a selection of English summer reading books for grades 10-12 plus fun summer titles. (The LLC collection also contains summer reading titles that can be borrowed on a first come, first served 'while they last' basis.) Come shop Summer reading and support the LLC!


National Honor Society Information Session - On June 6 at 3:30pm in the WHS Little Theater, we are planning on hosting an information meeting for 8th, 9th, and 10th graders. At this meeting, we will share information on the NHS application process and the importance for students to get involved in community service and other extracurriculars. WHS Band Bottle & Can Drive - Help support our growing High School Marching Band program while recycling your cans and bottles! Drop off your redeemable bottles and cans at the Board of Ed Parking Lot, Sunday June 2nd from 1-4 PM. Band students will be there to help sort and bag. WHS Theater Harry Potter & The Cursed Child Auditions will be held June 11th and 12th with callbacks on June 13th in the Clune Center for the Arts. Visit the WHS Theatre Website
