Position Title: PTSA Website Intern (Student Webmaster)


Start Date:
Summer 2025


Time Commitment:
Flexible hours during summer (will be based on specific project goals and milestones we hope to achieve by end of summer); optional ongoing role to support and maintain the website during 2025–2026 school year. Can be shared between multiple students.

Location: Mostly remote; occasional in-person meetings possible


Eligibility: WHS students

 

Overview:

 

The WHS PTSA is seeking a creative and tech-savvy student intern to assist with managing and growing our website, built on the Membership Toolkit platform. This is a great opportunity for a student interested in web design, digital communications, or content management to gain real-world experience while supporting the WHS community.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with PTSA members to build out a refreshed website design and structure
  • Help organize site navigation and improve usability for families and volunteers
  • Update and maintain content (events, announcements, sign-up forms, photos)
  • Assist with uploading graphics, links, and documents
  • Optional: continue as a content manager during the school year with periodic updates

 

Skills You’ll Gain:

  • Experience with website content management systems (CMS)
  • Understanding of digital organization and user experience
  • Project collaboration with adult stakeholders
  • Opportunity to earn community service hours or potentially independent study credit (check with school counselor) 

 

You’d Be Great If You:

  • Are organized, reliable, and comfortable working independently
  • Have an interest in digital media, design, or communications
  • Enjoy creative problem-solving and tech tools
  • Bonus: any experience with Canva, Google Sites, basic HTML, or CMS platforms (but not required!)
